85th Anniversary

Here's Looking at You Kid!

It was our 85th Anniversary year in 2021 so to ensure the grounds and buildings are safe and accessible for all, we had some assessments carried out. The conclusion was that some work was needed to remove the aging and dangerous conifer trees that had split trunks and were raising the tarmac.

So, on a winter's cold and grey February morning, Ian and Al from Mercia Trees; looked up, climbed and set to some very hard work. It was a job well done as it has made the site safe and open for socialising.

Due to Covid, we were just about able to have a simple and scaled down weekend of celebration for the church and the area around Billesley. There were photographs and artifacts exhibited, music and delicious refreshments provided by our local cafes and post office.

The weekend concluded with Bishop David leading a small service of thanks giving and a afternoon charity concert.

Here is just a snap shot of our site preparation and celebration weekend.
